The HELLO program prints the text Hello World to the serial port. This project confirms that you can compile, link, and debug an application.

Loading HELLO

To load the HELLO project, select Open Project from the Project menu and open Hello.UV2 from the folder:

Project WorkspaceProject Workspace window displays the source files that make up the project.

  • Hello.c: the C source file that prints "Hello World" to the serial port of the LPC9xx controller.
  • Start900.A51: CPU startup file for the Philips P89LPC935 - P89LPC932 devices.
  • ABSTRACT.TXT: the documentation file about the project.

Editing HELLO.C

You may edit Hello.c or review the source code. Double click on Hello.c in the Files page of the Project Window. µVision loads and displays the contents of Hello.c in an editor window.

Running HELLO

Perform the following three steps to run the Hello Example on the MCB900 Evaluation Board:

  1. Building the Hello program using the µVision IDE.
  2. Downloading the program into the on-chip Flash of the P89LPC935/932.
  3. Running the program and viewing the results.
