Configuring the MCB2470

The MCB2470 Evaluation Board is configured using a number of jumper settings. The MCB2470 Board ships with the following configuration:

J7 - NAND Busy & Ethernet PHY
OFFNAND Busy is not connected to P2.12 and P2.19 is not connected to PD.
J10 - Enable ETM
 OFFDownloading and debugging via ETM is disabled.
J11 - Analog Input
ON
Potentiometer is connected to ADC inputs AD0.2
J12 - AccelerometerAD0.0 AD0.1
Accelerometer x and y axis are connected to AD0.0 and AD0.1, respectively.
J14 - UART#0 and ISP
ALL ONUART #0 connects to USB with ISP functionality.
J16 - CAN#2OFFThe second CAN transceiver (CAN1) is not connected to P0.4 and P0.5.
J18, J19 - CAN#1/IrDAOFFNeither the first CAN transceiver (CAN0) nor the IrDA tranceiver is connected to P0.0 and P0.1.
J20 - RS232 Full Modem
ALL OFFThe RS232 full modem is not connected to either UART#1 or UART#2.
J22 - IrDA Shutdown
OFF
The IrDA transceiver is allowed to run normally.
J23, J24 - UART Select
BOTH OFF
Neither UART#1 nor UART#2 is connected to the RS232 modem.
J25 - USB OTG Device
ALL OFFISP1301 signals are disconnected. (see Note below)
J27 - USB HostALL ON
USB Channel B is in Host mode.
J29 - Backlight Shudown
OFFDisabled the LCD backlight to save power.
J30-J32 - Display colors
ALL LEFT
LCD displays 16-bit colors.
J33 - LCD Enable
ON
LCD power switch is enabled.
J34, J35 - Int/Ext Display
BOTH LEFT
Internal display selected.
J37 - USB Device Connect
UPPER
USB device is always enabled.

Note

  • USB OTG jumpers (J25) must not be installed if the LCD interface is required since the LCD interface signals P1.27-P1.29 are alos connected to the ISP1301.

Configuring for the ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter

The default jumper settings (above) on the MCB2470 board are pre-configured for the ULINK USB-JTAG adapter.
