The Flash Magic utility connects the PC's COM port to the serial port UART #0 of the MCB2470 and provides In-System Flash Programming (ISP) support for Intel HEX files. The installation program for this utility may be downloaded from the Flash Magic Web Site.
Note
- The MCB2470 Board contains a USB-to-Serial bridge chip (FT232R from FTDI) that connects UART #0 on the LPC2468 to a virtual COM port on the PC (via USB). An USB driver must be installed on your PC in order for the USB-to-UART chip (FT232R) to function. Make sure to download the latest version of the driver, which can be found at FTDI Driver site (search for a FT232R driver for your operating system).
Flash Magic may be run as a stand-alone utility or as an external tool from within µVision IDE.
