USBMEM - Mass Storage Device

The USBMEM program enables your MCB2400 board to act as a Mass Storage Device (MSD) that is accessible from the PC via the USB interface. This example uses the on-chip RAM as the MSD.

The LEDs on the MCB2400 board indicate activity from the MEMORY program running on the board.

Loading USBMEM

To load the USBMEM project, select Open Project from the Project menu, and open MEMORY.UV2 from the root\ARM\Boards\Keil\MCB2400\USBMem folder.

Select Project File Dialog

Project Workspace

When the USBMEM project opens, the µVision Project Workspace window displays the source files that make up the project.

  • LPC2400.s: CPU startup file for the NXP LPC24xx devices.
  • DiskImg.c: contains a pre-defined diskette image (basically a README.TXT file).
  • usbcfg.h: USB custom configuration file for several USB features.
  • usbhw.c: USB hardware layer for NXP LPC2468.
  • usbcore.c: USB core module that implements the basic USB communication layer.
  • usbdesc.c: USB device description.
  • usbuser.c: HID custom module.
  • mscuser.c: Mass Storage Class implementation module.
  • memory.c: contains the main program which starts the Mass Storage Device.

The Abstract.txt file contains documentation about the project.

Editing USBMEM

You may edit memory.c or review the source code. Double click on memory.c in the Files page of the Project Workspace window. µVision loads and displays the contents of memory.c in an editor window.
