Configuring the MCB2300

The MCB2300 Evaluation Board is configured using the jumpers J1 - J13. The MCB2300 Board ships with the following configuration:

J2 - USB (D+)ONConnects USB Line D+ to the USB connector.
J3 - AOUTONConnects AOUT via LF amplifier to the loudspeaker.

J5 - UMODEONAllows soft-connect of the USB device by issuing a software restart via P0.14
J6 - AD0.0ONConnects POT1 potentiometer to AIN0 for analog input demonstration.
J8 - INT0ONEnable INT0 Push Button.
J9 - RSTONEnables Reset via COM0.
J10 - ISPOFFDisables In-System Programming via COM0.
J11 - LEDONEnables Port2.0 - Port2.7 LEDs.
J13 - ETMONEnables the Embedded Trace Macrocell (so that the USB soft-connect and the LED's can be used)

Notes

  • Jumper J4 is labelled ETM on Version 2 MCB23xx boards and earlier.
  • Jumper J13 is labelled JTAG on Version 2 MCB23xx boards and earlier.

Configuring for the ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter

The default jumper settings (above) on the MCB2300 board are pre-configured for the ULINK USB-JTAG adapter.

Configuring for Serial ISP Flash Programming

For programming the MCB2300 using the Flash Magic Utility, change the following jumper from the above default settings:

  • J10 — ON
  • J4 & J13 — OFF
