Technical Support On-Line Manuals MCB1700 User's Guide | Power SupplyPower is supplied to the MCB1700 board on your PC using a standard USB B connector, or from an external 6.5 - 9VDC power supply connected at VIN+ and VIN-. The VBUS jumper must be installed to power the board from the PC's USB connector. When the board is powered from an external power supply at VIN and the USB connector is needed for data exchange, the VBUS jumper should be removed. The voltage regulators (IC8) and (IC5) generate 3.3 Volts DC and 5.0 Volts DC, respectively. Voltage regulator (IC7) generates 3.3 Volts DC for Analog use (VDDA and VREF). The Power LED indicates power is present on the board. The CR1220 battery supplies 3.0 Volts DC to power the Real-time Clock peripheral. The VBAT jumper connects this battery to the VBAT pin.
