Classic 8051 devices provide on-chip RAM (bit, data, and idata), ROM (code and const), external RAM (xdata and pdata), up to 8 MBytes of external RAM (for far variables), and up to 8 MBytes of ROM (for code banks and far const variables).
Note
- These memory classes are supported only by the LX51 Linker. They are not supported by the BL51 Linker.
