Installing a LIC

To Activate a Floating-User License, You Must...

1. Install the software product on the workstation.
2. Obtain a LIC to activate the Single-User License.

For Computers Connected to the Internet...

1. In µVision, open the File — License Management... dialog and select the Floating-User License tab.
2. Click on the Add Product... button and select or enter the path to the Floating License File (*.FLF) that was created by the Floating License Administrator. This opens the License Management page on the Keil web site.
3. Enter your contact information and click on the Submit button.
4. Within a few minutes you will receive a License ID Code (LIC) via an automated e-mail process. To activate your Software Product, enter the LIC in the New License ID Code (LIC) field in the License Management... dialog and click Add LIC.

• If you do not know the location of the Floating License File (*.FLF) contact your License Administrator.
• Do not change any Network Connection on your Computer during the registration process. The CID encodes various parameters including network adapter information. After product activation, the network adapter may change as it is the case on portable Notebooks with various network connections.
• The CID encodes several computer parameters including a time information. Therefore the CID changes daily. However you may install a LIC any time, provided that the same Network Connection is active.
• For computers with no Internet connection visit the web page http://www.keil.com/license/floating.htm (on a different computer) and enter the product information manually. The Floating License ID (FLI) and Computer ID Number (CID) must be obtained from the computer that should run the license. In the µVision dialog File - License Management... - Floating- User License click Add LIC to obtain this information.
