LIB51 Introduction

The LIB51 Library Manager allows you to create and maintain library files which may contain one or more object files. Library files may be used by the BL51 Linker and LX51 Linker to resolve external variable and function references.

The LIB51 Library Manager may be controlled interactively from the command line, or may be used by µVision IDE. It works with object files generated by the following development tools:

• Keil A51 Macro Assembler
• Keil C51 C Compiler
• Intel ASM-51 Assembler
• Intel PL/M-51 Compiler

Note

• The LIB51 Library Manager works only with OMF51 object modules. If you need library support for OMF2 object modules, refer to the LIBX51 Library Manager.
