Running HELLO

After building the HELLO program, you may run it on the EPM900 board from the debugger, or download it to your target board such as the MCB900 evaluation board.

Running HELLO on the EPM900

Start/Stop Debug Button To run your application on the EMP900 board RAM, use the Start/Stop Debug Session toolbar button or the µVision command Debug - Start/Stop Debug Session to connect the debugger to the Keil EPM900 Emulator Board and load the HELLO program to the EPM900 board. For details on using the debugging features, refer to the µVision User's Guide.

The HELLO program starts running and the Port 2 LEDs blink sequentially.

Note:

  • You cannot view the serial output with the EPM900 alone. To see serial output, you need a target board such as the MCB900.

Running HELLO on am MCB900

After you have built the HELLO program and downloaded it to the MCB900, change the MCB900 Jumper Settings to User Run: RUN - ON, RESET - OFF, PROG - OFF and remove power from the board for a few seconds. When you restore power, the HELLO program starts running and the Port 2 LEDs blink.
