DAS User's Guide

The DAS User's Guide describes the µVision configuration settings needed to interact with the Infineon Device Access Server (DAS). DAS is a product designed by Infineon.

The DAS Server is used as a debugging and Flash programming utility when combined with µVision. It offers a TCP/IP based client-server architecture over which the connection is established to µVision. The DAS Server supports the JTAG protocol and connects via USB to the target board. µVision implements a debug driver that communicates to and configures the DAS Server.

This manual contains the following chapters:

  • Introduction gives an overview of the features and requirements to use DAS Server with µVision.
  • PK51 Configuration explains the configuration options available in the Keil PK51 Professional Developer's Kit. Use these settings when developing applications for 8-bit microcontrollers.
  • PK166 Configuration explains the configuration options available in the Keil PK166 Professional Developer's Kit. Use these settings when developing applications for 16-bit microcontrollers.
  • Using DAS explains how to download and debug applications on target systems.
  • Troubleshooting lists common solutions when µVision fails to connect to the target system.
