XC16x and Super10 devices support high-speed or fast interrupts in addition to the standard interrupts. Fast interrupts offer:
- Cached interrupt vectors that require no JMPS instruction in the interrupt vector table.
- Fast register bank switching (either by setting the PSW.BANK field or by using the BNKSELx SFR registers).
Note
- Both cached interrupt vectors and fast register bank switching may be used on the same interrupt service routine.
