6.6.4 Hide and rename global symbols with a steering file

You can use a steering file to hide and rename global symbol names in output files.

Use the HIDE and RENAME commands as required.
For example, you can use steering files to protect intellectual property, or avoid namespace clashes.
Example of renaming a symbol:
RENAME steering command example
RENAME func1 AS my_func1
Example of hiding symbols:
HIDE steering command example
; Hides all global symbols with the ‘internal’ prefix
HIDE internal*
