If you run the AARM Assembler within the µVision IDE, you require no additional settings on your computer. To run the assembler from the command prompt, you must manually create the following environment variables.
| Variable | Path | Description |
|---|---|---|
| PATH | \KEIL\ARM\BIN | Path to the executable programs. |
| TMP | Path to use for temporary files generated by the assembler. If the specified path does not exist, the assembler generates an error and aborts. | |
| CAINC | \KEIL\ARM\INC | Path to the folder for AARM include files. |
Environment variables are entered under Control Panel — System — Advanced — Environment Variables.
