WORDx operand


Description

The WORDx operators return the word of operand corresponding to the position specified by x. For example, WORD0 returns the least-significant word, WORD2 returns the next word, and so on. The following table shows how the BYTEx, WORDx, HIGH, and LOW controls work on a 32-bit value.

The operand must either be absolute or a constant defined as extern:DATAn. Other types of relocatable operands are not allowed.

  • The WORD0, WORD2, WORD4, and WORD6 operators are available with the A166 Assembler.

Note

  • This directive is available in the AX51 Assembler only.
