Information in this article applies to:

  • C51 Version 5.50

QUESTION

When I compile my C source file, the compiler reports the following diagnostic:

WARNING 265: 'NAME': RECURSIVE CALL TO NON REENTRANT FUNCTION

ANSWER

A direct recursion to a non reentrant function was discovered. This can be intentional but should be functionally checked (through the generated code) for each individual case. Indirect recursions are discovered by the linker/locator.
