µVISION1: LOCK-UP AFTER INSTALLING UPDATE

QUESTION

I just installed the C51 update. I had v1.0 of µVision but now when I try to invoke it, only the µVision logo shows up, no background menu. The logo just sits there. How do I fix this?

ANSWER

Delete or rename the file \windows\uvw51.ini, then reinstall the update. The update will create a new .ini file when you install it.
