SYMPTOMS

When linking your program using BL51, the following warning message is reported:

WARNING L1: UNRESOLVED EXTERNAL SYMBOL

CAUSE

A variable or function was referenced but not found. Therefore, the linker could not resolve the called objects address.

RESOLUTION

This warning provides you with the symbol name and the module that referenced it. Often this is caused by a misspelling or the object was never declared. Correct the spelling or declare or write the variable or function.
