QUESTION

When compiling from the command line, is there a switch to let me specify the path to my include files?

Yes.  You may use the INCDIR directive to tell the compiler which paths to search when locating include files.  For example:

C51 SAMPLE.C INCDIR(C:\MYINC;C:\CHIP_DIR)
