RTX166: CAN 29-BIT PROBLEMS

QUESTION

We have a problem with the C167CR/RTX166 CAN Services in RTX166 V3.05. The 29-bit identifier received by the hardware is not returned in the can_message_struct. The message object defined in the can_def_obj_ext is returned instead. These two will not be the same when a global mask is used to filter frames.

Is there a solution to this problem?

ANSWER

You may not change the global mask in RTX166. However, in V3.10, message 15, masking is implemented. Refer to the README file in your installation for more information on how to use that feature. If you have an older version of RTX166, contact the sales department to find out about getting the latest tools.
