C51: ADDING INTRINSIC FUNCTIONS

QUESTION

Is there a way to add my own intrinsic (inline) functions to the C51 library?

ANSWER

No. Unfortunately, there is no way for you to add intrinsic routines to the library. The reason is that these routines are really tightly integrated into the compiler. They require modification to the compiler and are, therefore, impossible to implement in the field. If you send us your suggestions for inline routines, we may integrate them into a future release of the tools.
