ARMCC: CT.CompilerEM66 is not available with current toolkit


Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

  • MDK-ARM V5.22 and newer
  • ARM Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance

SYMPTOM

I am registered user of the MDK-Plus Edition (or MDK-Essential Edition).

At my project settings I have selected the ARM Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance:

At building my project I see this error message:

ARMClang.exe: error: CT.CompilerEM66 is not available with the current toolkit and license

CAUSE

The ARM Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance is intended for use of the MDK-Professional Edition. With any other MDK-ARM Edition in use this error will rise.

RESOLUTION

Unless you are using a license for the MDK-Professional Edition, you will need to upgrade your license or purchase a new ARM Compiler Long Term Maintenance license in order to use ARM Compiler 6.6.1.

Contact your sales representative to enquire about a license.
