µVISION DEBUGGER: missing interrupt names at NVIC window

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

  • MDK-ARM V5.18 and older

SYMPTOM

Expected interrupts names are missing at the NVIC window. Instead I see the interrupts named as ExtIRQ x, demonstrated in this screenshot:

Wrong Interrupt Names

Checking the System Viewer window I see that all entries are there as expected. This confirms that the required file is in use and not missing.

CAUSE

The SVDConv.exe tool that is delivered with your product, is analyzing interrupt names erroneously.

RESOLUTION

To correct this:

  1. Copy the attached version of SVDConv.exe into your [installation_path]\UV4\ folder. The default [installation_path] is C:\Keil_V5\.
  2. Open the Pack Installer:
    1. Uninstall the corresponding Device Family Pack
    2. Install this Device Family Pack again. This triggers SVDConv.exe to re-generate the required data.
