ARMCC: exclude objects from a library

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

  • MDK-ARM V4, V5

QUESTION

I am working on a product that links with a library that contains functionality that seems to be partially broken.

I have narrowed down the source of the problem to a single object file.

How can I exclude a single object file from a library?

ANSWER

The solution is integrated with the armar tool, which offers functionality to modify libraries.

Explicitly the option -d has to be used to delete one or more files specified in file_list from the library.
