ULINK: No Trace Synchronization on STM3220G-Eval Board

The Trace Status line in the µVision debugger always displays "No Synchronization" when attempting to use the ETM Trace option in the STMicroelectronics STM3220G-Eval board. The Trace hardware is enabled and the Core Clock setting corresponds to the SystemCoreClock value in the system_stm32f2xx.c file.
Jumpers JP1 and JP2 on the STM3220G-Eval board are set to positions 2-3. This is the default setting from the manufacturer.
To use the ETM Trace option on this board, jumpers JP1 and JP2 must be set to position 1-2. Note that changing these jumpers reduces the amount of accessible SRAM on that board.
