µVISION DEBUGGER: Using Trace with Embedded Artists LPC1788 Boards

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

  • MDK-ARM All versions

Debugging the TracePort Instruction Trace target of the C:\Keil\ARM\Boards\Embedded Artists\LPC1788-32 Developers Kit\Blinky_ULp\Blinky project always displays No Synchronization regardless of the Core Clock setting.

Revision B of both the Embedded Artists OEM Base Board and LPC1788 OEM Board require a line delay of 1.5ns for each ETM data line (D0-D3).

To set this delay, in µVision:

  1. Open your µVision project.
  2. Select Project -- Options for Target
  3. Click the Debug tab, then click the Settings button
  4. In the Trace tab of the Cortex-M Target Driver Setup dialog, change each signal delay setting at D0-D3 from 0 to 1.5 ns
  5. Then click OK, then OK again to save your changes.
