ULINK: USING DEBUG TRACE ON ACTEL A2F200 BOARDSInformation in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMWhen using Serial Wire Viewer with the Actel SmartFusion A2F Evaluation board, the Trace data (PC Samples, Timestamps, Exceptions, ITM information) doesn't display. CAUSE 1The Core Clock setting for Debug Trace is incorrect. RESOLUTION 1For the Actel A2F boards, make sure the Core Clock speed (Options for Target — Debug tab — Settings button — Trace tab) is set to 98KHz (0.098000 MHz). Note:
CAUSE 2Some early versions (date code 0936) of the A2F200 device did not output anything on the SWO pin. RESOLUTION 2This was fixed in later versions of the A2F200 silicon (date code 0952 or later). Make sure the date code on your device is 0952 or later. With either of the above resolutions, make sure you are using MDK-ARM version 4.11 or later which has updated projects and Flash algorithms for Actel SmartFusion targets. You may download the latest MDK-ARM version here. MORE INFORMATIONSEE ALSOLast Reviewed: Wednesday, August 18, 2010 | ||||||||||
