Product Information | µVISION: ERROR INSTALLING TO A 64-BIT OPERATING SYSTEM FROM KEIL CDInformation in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMWhen I try to install the Keil tools onto a Windows 64-bit operating system using a Keil install CD, I receive an error stating that the file version is not compatible with my version of Windows. Can I install the Keil tools on a Windows 64-Bit Operating System? CAUSEYes, you can install the Keil tools on a Windows 64-Bit Operating System. Some of the older installation CDs do not have the CD Setup utility configured for 64-Bit Operating Systems. RESOLUTIONTo install from the CD, open it using Windows Explorer. This can be done by opening My Computer, right clicking on the CD drive, and clicking "Explore". From here you can install a toolset by running Setup.EXE in the folder of the toolset you want to install. For instance, to install the ARM tools, run 'ARM\Setup.exe' to start the ARM installation process. Alternatively you can download an installer from the Keil website by clicking here.
