GENERAL: RT-AGENT EXAMPLE PROJECTS DO NOT BUILD

SYMPTOM

I recently updated to MDK-ARM 3.40. Since then I can no longer build the RTX_Blinky examples located in "C:\Keil\ARM\RT Agent" directory. I am receiving an error similar to the following:

Blinky.c(70): error:  #130: expected a "{"
Blinky.c(84): error:  #130: expected a "{"
Blinky.c(98): error:  #130: expected a "{"
Blinky.c(112): error:  #130: expected a "{"
Blinky.c(126): error:  #130: expected a "{"
Blinky.c(157): error:  #130: expected a "{"
compiling LCD.c...
compiling RTX_Config.c...
C:\keil\ARM\RV31\INC\RTX_Config.h(18): error:  #35: #error directive: New RTX-V2 core does not require RTX_Config.h

Target not created

CAUSE

The RTX kernel was updated in MD-ARM 3.40. Details of these updates can be found at What's New in RL-ARM Version 3.40.

RESOLUTION

• Download the patch attached to this Knowledge Base article.
• Extract the patch to your Keil installation directory (C:\Keil is the default). When prompted about over writing existing files, select Yes to All.
