ULINK: Windows Vista Cannot Find ULINK Driver

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

  • ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter
  • All Keil Products

I just installed the ULINK driver on a Windows Vista computer (32 bit version). When I plug my ULINK USB-JTAG adapter in, Windows fails to find a driver.

Some files did not get installed due to the Windows account not having full administrative privileges.

Right click on the installer icon and click Run as Administrator from the context menu. This will ensure that the installer is run with administrator access.

Unfortunately, the ULINK version 1 only runs on 32-bit operating systems. It will not run on Vista 64-bit , or Windows 7 64-bit.
