LICENSE: UPDATING A LICENSE(LIC)

QUESTION

I just purchased and received an update to my product and have a new PSN. How do I obtain a new LIC for my PC?

Do I have to uninstall my old LIC?

ANSWER

This is very easy. You do not have to uninstall your old LIC. In µVision, just request a new LIC (File - License Management, Get LIC Via Internet...) as you did for your original product, but make sure you enter your new PSN in the Product Serial Number(PSN): text box.

Note:

• When you fill out the License Request form, please make sure your e-mail address is correct, since that is where your new LIC will be sent.

You will receive a new LIC via e-mail. Paste your new LIC into the New License ID Code(LIC): text box, then click the Add LIC button without uninstalling the old LIC. Your new LIC will replace your old one automatically.
