µVISION DEBUGGER: FLASH DOWNLOAD NOT WORKING

PROBLEM

When downloading to flash on a SiLabs C8051F060 board, the output window displays as if the download was successful, for example:

Load "C:\\Keil\\C51.BAK001\\EXAMPLES\\SiLabs\\Blinky_F060\\Blinky"
Flash Erase Done.
Flash Image Update Complete.
Beginning programming...
Flash Program Done: 91 bytes programmed.
Flash Verify Done: 91 bytes verified.

But pressing the Reset button on the board (or cycling power) causes the previous program downloaded to this device to run.

CAUSE

There is a problem with V2.51 of the SiLabs driver where it appears to load and verify flash, but actually it does not.

SOLUTION

Install the V2.52 of the Silabs driver. You may download this driver directly from Silabs at:
