µVISION: GPF WHEN OPENING OLD C166 PROJECT

QUESTION

I have just installed the C166 Compiler Version 6.10 and now µVision creates an General Protectino Fault when I open the project ..\Keil\C166\Boards\Keil MCB167 NET\Ethernet\Ethernet.uv2.

How can I solve this issue?

ANSWER

This is a known problem that exists due to an parameter change for the new XE166 device family. Download the attached version of UV3.EXE and copy it into the folder C:\Keil\UV3.

This problem only exists in C166 Version 6.10.
