µVISION: RUNNING UNDER VISTA OR WINDOWS 7

SYMPTOM

I'm running Windows Vista (or Windows 7) and when I try to enter my LIC in µVision3 License Management, it tells me I don't have permission to perform that operation.

CAUSE

µVision3 requires administrator privileges to access license information.

RESOLUTION

Whenever you launch µVision3, right click on the icon and select Run as Administrator from the context menu.
