ULINK: LUMINARY BOARD: NO ALGORITHM FOUND

QUESTION

I tried programming a Luminary Cortex-M3 evaluation board using ULINK, but I received an error:

No algorithm found

When I review the programming algorithm under Project — Options — Utilities — ULINK Settings, it displays the correct Flash programming algorithm, but the address range seems to be not valid.

What can be wrong?

ANSWER

The Flash Address Range is incorrectly set in some Luminary example projects. To solve this problem:

• Open the dialog Project — Options — Utilities — ULINK Settings.
• Click on the Flash programming algorithm that has the wrong size setting.
• Correct the Size. For a 64KB Flash ROM the size 0x10000 needs to be entered.
• Click OK to close the dialog.

Now Flash programming should work as expected.
