Technical SupportULINK: START PROBLEM WITH PHYTEC PHYCORE LPC2294Information in this article applies to:
QUESTIONI am using an older Phytec phyCORE LCP2294 board (PCM-023-SK-2294) and it appears that ULINK2 does not work with this board. My older ULINK adapter works just fine. What can cause this? ANSWERThere is an apparent problem with the hardware design of PCM-023-SK-2294. The RESET I/O signal, pin 15, of ULINK2 and the reset circuitry of the PCM-023-SK-2294 is not compatible due to a design flaw on the phyCORE LPC2294. The older ULINK used a stronger transistor on RESET line which could drive up to 100mA. The ULINK2 has just standard driver outputs. There was a redesign on this board and the current PCB revision 1231.1 of the phyCORE LPC2294 no longer has this problem. MORE INFORMATIONLast Reviewed: Thursday, March 01, 2007 | ||||||||||
