ARM: ATMEL SAM-ICE SUPPORT

QUESTION
Atmel offers a JTAG adapter called SAMICE that connects to the Atmel Evaluation Boards. Is SAMICE supported from the µVision Debugger? Does SAMICE allow to set more than two breakpoints (which is a limitation of the Embedded ICE)?
ANSWER
Yes, SAMICE is supported from µVision using the RDI interface. SAMICE does not support more breakpoints than ULINK. It requires additional software components available from SEGGER to enable the so-called Flash Breakpoints.
You may consider using Device Simulation instead, since this gives you a better view of the chip itself.
