CARM: WHEN SHOULD I USE RVDS?

QUESTION

I want to use an ARM device that is not listed in the µVision Device Database. Since KEIL is an ARM company, it is unclear if I need the RealView Developer Suite or the Keil Microcontroller Developer Kit.

What should I do?

ANSWER

The Keil products are designed to support Microcontroller devices. If you want to use a Microcontroller device that is not in the Device Database, please send an email to support.intl@keil.com. We will then give you information, if this device will be supported in a future tool revision.

When you create or using a device that is not a true microcontroller, you should purchase the ARM RealView Developer Suite. In this case send an information request to the following email addresses:
