LX51: CODE BANKING GENERATES ERROR L124

QUESTION

The LX51 Linker/Locater of C51 Version 8.01 reports:

*** ERROR L124: BANK SWITCH MODULE INCORRECT

This only occurs when I am using code banking. The BL51 Linker/Locater works just fine.

ANSWER

Download the the file attached to this article. Copy the LX51.EXE into the folder Keil\C51\BIN. This will solve your problem.

NOTE: The problem exists only with C51 Version 8.01. Updating to version 8.02 and later will also resolve this problem.
