ULINK: FLASH VERIFY ERRORS WITH INFINEON XC866

QUESTION
When I download my application to the on-chip flash of the Infineon XC866 microcontroller I get a 'verify error' from time to time. Is there a known problem?
ANSWER
Yes. There is a known problem in some Infineon XC866 BA-Step devices. A software work-around for this has been implemented in the UL2XC800.dll ULINK driver version 1.05 and later.
You may download the attached file from this knowledgebase article and extract the file into the \Keil\C51\BIN folder. This patch is not necessary for C51 versions later than 8.01.
