LICENSE: ADD LIC BUTTON IS NOT ACTIVE

QUESTION

I registered a product manually using an Internet browser and received a LIC (License ID Code) for my product. The LIC I received is 20-digits long and has the format:

LIC=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

When I enter the LIC in the File - License Management dialog, the Add LIC button is not active (grayed out). What's wrong?

ANSWER

Newer product versions require a 30-digit LIC.  Documentation for earlier versions of C166 (Version 5) and DKARM (Version 1) referred to a web link which is no longer valid.   Please use the following link to manually obtain a license:

http://www.keil.com/license/install.htm.

This web page will generate a 30-digit LIC with the format:

LIC=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Note:  Re-registering your product for the same computer does not count as separate computer license.
