CARM: LPC2130 TIMER 1 DOESN'T RUN

SYMPTOM

On the LPC2130 device, Timer 1 does not run when the enable bit is set.

CAUSE

The LPC213x devices allow the user to turn off on-chip peripherals to conserve power.  You may have turned off power to Timer 1 by mistake.

RESOLUTION

Power to Timer 1 is turned on after a chip reset.  Make sure you set the bit PCTIM1(PCONP.2), when modifying the PCONP register.
