LICENSE: DOES A FLOATING LICENSE REQUIRE A FILE SERVER?

QUESTION

I'm installing a Floating-User License and I know it requires a Floating License File (.FLF).  Does this file have to be located on a file server?

ANSWER

Yes.  The .FLF file can only be located on a file server. µVision will not create this file on the local workstation's hard drive.
