LICENSE: MOVING A LICENSE TO A NEW WORKSTATION

QUESTION

I'm getting a new workstation that will replace my old one.  Can I move the license to my new workstation?

ANSWER

Yes. To move your license, you uninstall the license on your old workstation then install it on your new workstation. To do this:

1. In µVision, open the File — License Management dialog and click on the Single User License tab.
2. Select the license that you want to disable from the product license list.
3. Click Uninstall. If you are not connected to the Internet, you may enter the information manually using your Internet browser.
4. Install the Keil tools on your new workstation.
5. In µVision, open the File — License Management dialog and click on the Single User License tab.
6. Click the Get LIC via Internet... button and follow the instructions.

Your new LIC will be e-mailed to you.
