GENERAL: ARCHIVE TOOL VERSIONS

Information in this article applies to:

  • C51 All Versions
  • C166 All Versions
  • C251 All Versions
  • CARM All Versions

QUESTION

I need to archive specific Compiler versions. I know that I can save the *.EXE files in the Keil\...\BIN folder. Besides this, what else do I need to store to recover a specific Compiler version?

ANSWER

The following folders contain toolchain specific information:

  • BIN contains the executable files and DLL extensions.
  • LIB contains compiler run-time libraries.
  • INC contains compiler specific header files.

To archive a specific toolchain version, you should archive the content of all these folders.
