µVISION DEBUGGER: WHAT ARE {CVTB} CODE SECTIONS?

Information in this article applies to:

  • µVision Version 2 and Later

QUESTION

What does the label {CvtB} mean in the Performance Analyzer dialog?

ANSWER

When the µVision Debugger loads an object module, it uses the debug information to determine the names of variables and program lines.

Some sections of a program (like library modules and assembly modules) do not have any debug information. Modules compiled with debug information disabled also have no debug details. These sections are named {CvtB} by µVision so they may be distinguished from sections with complete debug details.
