QUESTIONI try to use the ARM RealView Development Tools together with Keil µVision. However I have problems configuring the toolchain. Can you tell me how to do this? ANSWERIn contrast to ADS (which was the previous term for the ARM Development Tools from ARM), the RealView Development Tools are using quite complex folder names (that vary not just between the versions, but differ also from a full version vs. an Eval version). For the Keil Development Suite for ARM Version 2 or higher you may simply add the RealView Folder name as described below:
The Keil Development Suite for ARM Version 1 uses a fixed BIN folder for the executable files. For this older Keil version you copy the ARM executeable folder win_32-pentium into a folder that is named BIN. Then just enter in the µVision dialog Project - Components, Enviornment, Books... and enter the patch to the RVCT (RealView Compilation Tools) under Folders/Extensions - Use ARM Tools - RealView Folder. For example Program Files\ARM\RVCT\Programs\2.1\350\eval2-sc. The rest of the configuration is identical with the information shown above. MORE INFORMATION
