SYMPTOMWhen I define data symbols as FAR CONST, the list file shows that the compiler has "allocated" twice as much space as necessary to hold that data. CAUSEThere was an error in an early build of CX51.exe, v7.50. This caused all FAR CONST space to be allocated twice. RESOLUTIONThe attached file contains an updated version of CX51.exe. Download the .ZIP archive and unzip the enclosed file to C:\Keil\C51\BIN. STATUSThis problem is fixed in Version 8.00 of the Keil C51 tools.
