LICENSE: GET "RENEW LICENSE ID CODE" ADDING LIC

QUESTION
I have licensed my product and obtained a License ID Code (LIC) via the web site. However, when I enter the LIC into the License Management window, and click the Add LIC button, the following error message displays:
*** RENEW LICENSE ID CODE (LIC) ***
How can I activate my product?
ANSWER
This error message indicates that the Computer ID (CID) that was used to generate the LIC does not match the CID of the computer on which the LIC is used. The CID is generated from various components on your computer, one of which is your Network card. If you have disabled your network card in windows device manager, an invalid CID is generated.
To activate your network card:
In Windows, select the Start button -> Settings
- Select System.
- Select the Hardware tab.
- Select Device Manager button.
- Expand the Network adapters section, and select your Ethernet card.
- Select the Enable device button and press OK.
Now that the Ethernet card is enabled, a correct Computer ID will be generated. Register for a new LIC via the Internet using the correct computer ID.
