MCBXC167: External Flash/RAM Do Not Work ProperlyInformation in this article applies to:
SYMPTOM
When trying to flash the External Flash (IC2), it fails and
µVision reports verification errors. CAUSEVery early versions of the MCB-XC167 were missing a configuration resistor. The missing resistor R37 is a 10 kOhm pull-down resistor on P0.6 and sets the bus type (BTYP). If it is missing, the MCB-XC167 operates with an 8-bit demultiplexed bus instead of the 16-bit bus that is required. RESOLUTIONPopulate a 10 kOhm resistor for R37. You may also contact the Keil Support Team if you have difficulties. MORE INFORMATION
